Deposit payments are $500 for J-TERM Study Abroad programs and $1000 for Summer Study Abroad programs. Deposit payments count toward your program cost and are non-refundable. Students will be fully accepted to a program once their full deposit payment & application are both received. Deposit payments will be applied to your student bill once the charges for the tour are added to your bill.

There are four options available to make the deposit payment. Deposit payments for Study Abroad programs cannot be made online. Please see below for instructions on each payment method. All deposit payments are tracked by the Student Accounts Office.

When making your payments for the deposit, please be sure to include the account number: 11-0000-25830, the program name (name of trip) and term (J-Term 2022, Summer 2022, etc.), your full name and ID number.

CHECK: Checks must be made out to Moody Bible Institute and turned into Student Accounts located on Culby 2, ask for them at the front desk of Moody Central.

If sending a check from off campus, please keep in mind that both the application and deposit payment must be received to secure a spot.

CASH: Cash payments can be made at the Teller Window on the fourth floor of Crowell Hall during their business hours. The Teller is open Monday and Wednesday mornings, 8 a.m. until noon. A copy of the receipt from the Teller will need to be sent to

CREDIT/DEBIT CARD*: To make a credit card payment please call Student Accounts at (312) 329-4223. Request assistance to pay the deposit for the program you are applying for.

*Please note that all credit/debit card payments will be charged a 2.75% service fee. 

AUTOMATIC BANK WITHDRAWAL: In order to avoid this 2.75% credit card fee, you can make an automatic bank withdrawal payment by calling Student Accounts at (312) 329-4223 and requesting to make a deposit payment using your checking or savings account information.
