About the Program
Ready to explore Europe like never before? Join Moody professors and immerse yourself in the rich cultures of Italy, France, and Germany! Wander through the stunning streets of Rome, Paris, Wittenberg, and Nuremberg, where you’ll experience history, art, and vibrant city life. Highlights include tours of the Vatican, Colosseum, a memorable day trip to Florence, free time to soak up Parisian charm, and visits to pivotal sites of the European Reformation. Plus, you’ll earn academic credit by taking two engaging courses. Don’t miss this chance for adventure and learning across some of Europe’s most iconic cities!
Please Note: This program begins with a 4 day class session in Chicago before flying out to Rome on Friday, May 23rd, 2025.

Moody in Europe runs from May 19th to June 14th, 2025. Please refer to the schedule included in the informational flyer under Program Schedule.

Cost for Undergraduate Students
The cost of the Moody in Europe program is approximately $6950 (WITH GROUP AIRFARE) OR $5650 (WITHOUT GROUP AIRFARE).
Program cost includes tour, site admissions, accomodations, medical insurance, & some meals.
PLEASE NOTE: Off Campus. Online, Aviation & Non-degree students are required to pay any tuition fees for the course in addition to the program cost.
The payment for all fees is due May 1st 2025 and will be charged to your student account. Payment plans and loan options are also available. The summer pell grant may also apply.
Requirements for Preliminary Acceptance:
- Online Application
- Click the APPLY NOW button on the right
- APPLICATION DEADLINE: All applications must be recieved by February 14th, 2025.
- Spots are secured on a first come, first served basis. Once a program is full, any additional students wanting to participate in the program will be placed on a waiting list.
- GPA Requirements
- Students must have a minimum 2.0 GPA to study abroad abroad. Students on academic probation are not elligible to study abroad.
- Disciplinary Background
- Students cannot be on disciplinary probation at the time of application or at the time the student studies abroad.
- Care & Concern Check (Part 1)
- All study abroad participants names will be screened by the Student Life & Title IX office.
- The Student Life office will identify students on disciplinary probation.
- If the Title IX office is aware of any students who have applied for the same program who have no contact orders, students who are under Title IX sanctions, or students who have a pending matter with the Title IX office that may interfere with theirs or other’s trip experience the Title IX office can offer a recommendation for how to proceed with applicant approval.
- All study abroad participants names will be screened by the Student Life & Title IX office.
Requirements for Official Acceptance:
- Deposit
- A $500 depoosit that counts toward your program cost must be received by February 14th, 2025.
- For information on how to pay the deposit, reference these instructions.
- Picture of Valid Passport
- Please e-mail the first page of your valid passport to studyabroad@moody.edu
- Passports must be vaild for six months after your return date. Therefore, any passports expiring before Sunday, December 23rd, 2025 will need to be renewed. If you are currently renewing your passport or ordering a new passport you are still elligible as long as your passport will be recieved before program departure, but this must be communicated with the study abroad office when applying.
Requirements after Official Acceptance:
- Care & Concern Check (Part 2)
- All study abroad participants require a care & concern check through the Student Life office & Title IX office with input from Health Service, Counselling Services & the Student Resource Center as appropriate. The purpose of this check is to ensure that student needs are identified and supported/accomodated adequately.
- Travel Registry
- All students must register their travel with Moody's travel registry. Once accepted to a program students will be added to the registry and will need to complete their profile and complete all assigned tasks here.
- Student Account in Good Standing
- Students cannot have any holds on their financial account at the time of enrollement in study abroad courses.
- Visa
- US Citizens now do need a visa to enter Europe. This is a simple process and the study abroad office will send detailed instructions to each participant. If you are an international student we can look at visa requirements for your passport issuing country here
- Attendance of all Pre-Trip Orientation Sessions
- Attendance at all pre-trip orientation sessions is required for participation. Make-up sessions will be granted to students who cannot attend due to conflicts such as PCM weekly ministry, work or class. These orientation sessions will be hosted on zoom.
