Conferences

Moody Bible Institute hosts our Founder's Week Conference in October and our Missions Conference in February that students are required to attend.

The Student Activities Office only oversees student attendance for these conferences.

Founder's Week

Founder's Week at the Chicago campus is an annual Bible conference that celebrates the birthday of our founder, D.L. Moody. During this week, classes are suspended for students to provide the opportunity to hear outstanding Bible teachers, preachers, evangelists, missionaries, and other Christian leaders. This special conference is held for the general public as well as students and employees.

The theme of Founder's Week 2022 was "Unshaken".

Missions Conference

The annual Missions Conference at the Chicago campus educates Moody's student body on the biblical view about missions and addresses major areas and issues in worldwide missions. Through this conference, students are encouraged to learn about those who live beyond their own local communities, as well as methods to spread the gospel to various people groups. Students will also learn about what other mission agencies are doing around the world, as well as have social networking opportunities with those agencies. All regular courses are suspended for the duration of the conference and are replaced with seminars and general sessions.

The theme of Missions Conference 2021 was "Missions to the Marginalized," taken from John 4 and Luke 19:10.
